How to Test Your Display

Dead Pixel Detection

Use solid colors (white, black, red, green, blue) to identify dead, stuck, or hot pixels on your display. Look for dots that don't change color.

Color Accuracy

Check if your display shows colors correctly and uniformly across the entire screen surface. Look for color shifts or tinting.

Backlight Bleeding

Use the black screen test to check for backlight bleeding, especially around the edges and corners of your display.

Complete Testing Guide

What to Look For:

  • Dead Pixels: Black dots that don't light up on any color
  • Stuck Pixels: Pixels that stay one color regardless of the test
  • Hot Pixels: Bright pixels that appear on dark backgrounds
  • Backlight Bleeding: Light leaking around edges on black screen
  • Color Uniformity: Uneven color distribution across the screen

Testing Tips:

  • Use full screen mode for the most accurate testing
  • Test in a dark room for better visibility of issues
  • Spend at least 10-15 seconds on each color
  • Look at all areas of the screen, not just the center
  • Clean your screen before testing to avoid false positives
